Water sharing between Central Asian countries has been conflicting for quite a long time already.
Mir Ahmad Ahmad
Mr. Mir Ahmad is involved in the water sector projects in Afghanistan since 1992. During this period, he hasI worked with the International NGOs and UN agencies in different parts of Afghanistan. He has also been working for the World Bank in the rural development sector since 2004, supervising implementation of Bank financed rural development projects. Rehabilitation of Irrigation system, rehabilitation of Hydro-meteorology system , feasibility study of Lower Kokcha Dam ( in Amu River Basin) with Ministry of Energy and Water (MEW), Horticulture and livestock and OFWM project with Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock (MAIL) and National Solidarity Project (NSP) with Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD). He is also a focal person in the South Asia Water Coordination.
