Water sharing between Central Asian countries has been conflicting for quite a long time already.
Uzbekenergo to build biggest wind power installation in Central Asia
Uzbek state company Uzbekenergo plans to finish the construction of the first experimental wind-driven energy installation in the Central Asia with capacity of 750 kilowatt worth $3 million till the end of the year, RIA Novosti reported.
The company has already started the installation of the first part of equipment.
The installation will allow to produce about 1.28 million kilowatt of energy. The equipment for the installation was supplied by Chinese Xian Electric engineering Co. and produced by Xinjiang Goldwind.
The financing of the project worth $3 million was provided by Uzbek side.
