Water sharing between Central Asian countries has been conflicting for quite a long time already.
Kazakhstan, Belarus discuss cooperation in agriculture
Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Mikhail Rusy and head of Kazakh Kostanay region Nuraly Saduakasov have discussed cooperation in agriculture and other spheres in Minsk, the Belarusian governmental press-service reported.
"The parties have discussed the conditions and prospects of mutually beneficial cooperation development and implementation of new joint projects," the press-service reported.
Rusy proposed Kostanai region to build storages on its territory for Kazakh grain transportation to Europe.
Moreover, the parties have discussed the prospects of cooperation between Belarusian companies with such major Kazakhstan's manufacturer as Agromashholding and Ivolga-holding.
"We can thoroughly work to jointly create tractors, agricultural machinery production," Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister said.
According to the press-service, there are prospects for supplying Belarusian agricultural machinery to Kostanay region on leasing terms. Kazakhstan's Kostanay region in turn is interested in purchasing of Belarusian agricultural equipment and launching of assembly plants in its territory.
"We consider the possibility of assembly plant building in Kostanai region," Kostanai region head said.
Moreover, Kostanay region is interested in Belarusian robotic equipment for dairy farms.
The parties agreed to hold the next meeting in April.
