Description:

Kai is a Researcher on Water Policy and Institutions at IWMI Central Asia Office. Kai has a PhD from the School of Oriental and African Studies, London University. He has a broad experience on the organizational changes of the water bureaucracy, water management reforms on the local, meso and basin level as well as land reforms in Central Asia. He worked as Assistant Professor at the Irrigation and Water Engineering Group of Wageningen University (the Netherlands), as a researcher for the Centre for Development Research (ZEF) in Germany, and as a development worker for the German Development Service (DED) in Uzbekistan.
