Electricity consumption increases in Kyrgyzstan

Electricity consumption in Kyrgyzstan increased by 15 percent in 2012, KyrTAG reported on Friday with reference to the country's Energy and Industry Minister Avtandil Kalmambetov.

Kalmambetov made the statement during his conversation with the country's President Almazbek Atambayev.

During the meeting Atambayev and Kalmambetov discussed the issues of population's energy supplies during the winter period.

It is expected that the electricity supply in Bishkek and Osh cities will be improved due to installation of new electricity transformers there.

The installations work is expected to be finished in 10 days.
