Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan agree on gas prices

Kazakhstan agreed with Kyrgyzstan to supply gas for $224 per 1,000 cubic meters during the first quarter, KyrTAG quotes Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry as saying on Wednesday.
Reportedly, Kyrgyz Ambassador to Kazakhstan Esengul Omuraliyev, Chairman of the Board Bekmurat Sultanaliyev and Deputy Director General Evgeny Orlenko of the joint stock company "Kyrgyzgaz" held negotiations on natural gas supplies to Kyrgyzstan from Kazakhstan with First Deputy Chairman of the Board of "KazMunaiGas" National Oil Company Daniyar Berlibayev and the leadership of JSC "KazTransGas" in Astana on Jan.16.
"An agreement has been reached to supply natural gas to Kyrgyzstan in the first quarter of 2013 at a price of 224 per 1,000 cubic meters with a possible extension of the agreements for the succeeding quarters of 2013", the Foreign Ministry said.
