Results of First International Integrated Expedition in the upper Vakhsh and Panj rivers
In August this year, First International Complex Expedition in the upper river Vakhsh and Panj was organized with support of UNDP. The expedition, which included experts from Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia, explored glaciers of Tajikistan and came to conclusion that the glaciers of the country where 60% of water resources in Central Asia are formed face extinction due to global warming.
Our network member, Prof. Abdulkhamid Kayumov had led the expedition, the results of which are presented in this video.
