Water sharing between Central Asian countries has been conflicting for quite a long time already.

His research interests concerning Central Asia started during his BA and MA studies in Geography in Bologna University. He has conducted fieldwork 'research in Samarkand region
from 2006 to 2009 focusing on Water resources management in Urgut and Nurabad districts and on cropping systems and bazaar network. Started in 2011, his actual PHD project focuses about Water management and irrigation dynamics, following socio-technical analysys comparing Middle Zerafshan valley in Uzbekistan and Arys Valley in Kazakhstan. The main aims of his research are national water policies' analysis and its implementation and related issues at local level. He is carrying out his my investigations in three districts for each case-study valley.
As a young researcher he would like to become a member of the ADBN in order to increase his knowledge about water processes and to share informations-experiences.
